The Big 2!!!

Noah turned TWO. He is the prefect fit for a two year old. Adorable, spazzy, daring, inquisitive, lively, rambunctious, exhausting, traumatic, you get the picture. And we love our Noah just the way he is. There is never a dull moment in the Smythe home when Noah is awake. And he makes me happier than ever.

We started his big day by having chicken nuggets for breakfast. Whatever he wants right? And he ate all 4 of them. That was easy. I woke up planning on making pancakes. :) After breakfast, we headed to the grocery store to get a special cookie and chocolate milk to take to the park. We played at Mt. Lebanon park for awhile and then headed to Melanie's for lunch with the girls! The kids had a GREAT time together. And lunch was fantastic. And to anyone who cares, I found a new favorite dressing. Toasted Sesame Lite. YUMMY!! Thanks Melanie for a great afternoon. My boys had a blast, as did I. This is a cute shot of 4 out of the 5 little girls born within a few months of each other. Check it out So, after the long day at Melanie's we headed home where Noah couldn't keep his eyes open. He played HARD at the park and with the kids. Noah's face was flushed and red all day. We had to go pick up the cake before we went home and Noah was OUT. Thanks Libby for all the pics you captured of him fighting the urge to sleep.Jason came home (YEAAAAAA!!! that was a long 5 weeks without Daddy) and that was the best birthday present for Noah of all.
I got the house cleaned up a bit and ready for some friends to come over for cake and ice cream. I felt bad for not planning a party for Noah so I tried my best to put one together with only a couple of hours. Last year when he turned one, we were driving to Ann Arbor and I did NOTHING for his birthday. I guess you could say the guilt was still getting to me. It was a fun little party. He got some new presents that he loves. Grandma and Grandpa really pulled through with the ever so hard to find PAT PAT LITTLE EINSTEINS ROCKET. I am still having to rip it from him for bed time. Here are the last two years in a flash:
-getting induced to have little baby Noah
-Jason turned 30 and we had a very fun surprise birthday party
-finding out I was pregnant AGAIN
-repairs on our home continually
-Jackson turned 2 and then 3
-Ellie Jane was born

-said goodbye to three of my dearest friends
-lets be honest, I just asked Jason to tell me something he thought of when I asked him what we have done the last two years. He shrugged and said, "Other than having babies?" I laughed and said, "I know. That is all I can think of too." And Jason said, "Well, that is pretty much all we have done."

Well, you do make cute kids, so I say keep on doing what your doing! Noah was so much fun at his birthday party. He would squeal with delight as he opened up each present. He gave the best expressions on his face! Love it!!

Happy Birthday Noah! I was laughing at the baby pic...Ellie is of course the one with a huge bow in her head. : )

BTW, have you got you tickets yet??

Happy Birthday Noah. I can't believe he is two. At least I took 4 years to have three kids...while you only took 3 years. Ellie is the biggest baby, so probably the oldest?? And yes, as Lisa, said OF COURSE a huge bow in her head. Speaking of bows, I have to show you this site. I'll send it to you. BTW, you never answered my Bundle Me questions.

About the bundle me. Yes, I would love one. And probably in pink. Do you put them in the bigger car seats too? And I want to site you mentioned. Big bows? Sign me up!:)

Such cute kids! It's okay that you didn't celebrate Noah's 1st B-day. He wouldn't remember it anyway.

Noah is soooo cute. Actually, all 3 of your kids are exceptionally cute. I love that Ellie is always wearing huge bows. Madelyn was/is the same way. She wore the headbands you gave her every single day when she was a baby. Little girls MUST wear bows!

I can't believe that Noah is 2. Crazy! Cute post. I was wondering when you would post a new one. How was your anniversary? Jason was out of town right? Oh, and I miss you too (coming from one of the dearest friends (BFF...you'll call me right?))

I love Jason's comment, guys have such a matter-of-fact way of viewing the world sometimes. You should be proud of how you've spent the last 2 years - nothing else could be more important! I know I'm impressed, I don't think I could stay so ccc through it all (that's IM talk for cool, calm, and collected, just made it up, give it time, it'll catch on).

Jana, Ellie could not deny you if her life depended on it!! She's so cute. All 3 of them are. So, you should be getting knocked up again before too long, right? :) (Like I'm one to talk. Mine are 23 months apart.) You seriously look so great!!
