Well, Ellie had her first bit of heaven today as she got to try rice cereal. Not my kind of heaven by any means, but for someone that has a very controlled palate, well, rice cereal might just be like a giant bowl if ice cream to me. :)
She loved it. We were a little messy, but she got it all down eventually. And it amazingly didn't find its way into her neck rolls. Eww sick.
We decided to start her now because the last couple of weeks she has been waking up in the middle of the night. Let me clarify. Middle of the night to me, and I am RIGHT, is any time before 6am. Even 6am is pushing it. So, when Ellie wakes up at 4am, NO GOOD!!!! The Dr. told me I could let her cry it out, and if the rice cereal doesn't fix this, the poor little girl is not going to be happy. I hate the thought of letting her cry, but a mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do! And she weighs PLENTY to sleep all night long. But when is it that they can go a full 12 hours? Why can't I remember anything about babies? It's not like I took a big break once I started having kids or anything. :) So, any of you that have some words of wisdom in this subject, please fill me in. I feel a bit silly asking since I know what needs to happen (cry it out), but I guess I need some reinforcement.
This is not what the post was supposed to be about. So, back to the cereal.
It was runny, and she loved it. And now I am going to get the high chair out and begin that whole thing again. I hate cleaning those.
I went to look at a new double stroller today. What do you all like. I have the Combi side by side, but am not happy with it anymore. Where the heck is a cup holder?!!! Buggin. Does anyone have the Graco Duo Glider? I think it might be pretty good for me. But that is what I thought about the Combi.

She's so adorable! I want her! My advice is this: Don't get the stroller that holds 3 kids. That is too big and a little ridiculous. You can put Jack & Ellie in a double stroller (I liked that Duo Glider we talked about) and then put Noah on your shoulders! lol!
So cute!! Oh, and you don't need diet pills! You look great.
Your blog inspired me to feed Benjamin his first rice cereal today...he was not having it!
What is this about diet pills. You vowed to never take those again!!!! You don't need to, you look great! Anyway, don't get the Peg Aria Twin. You can't take the seat cushions out to wash like you can on the Combi. And the wheels are somewhat "cheap". Plus, it's big even folded down. I actually wish I would have gotten the Combi. Doesn't it have two cup holders in the front, just not a tray? Or, are you talking about a cupholder for you? You can buy those attachments. I just bought a stroller that you can put the carrier on the front seat and have a toddler stand or sit on the bench on back. It's great - light and easy to fold down. From Babies R Us.
I love that first picture of Ellie. It's magazine material...no joke!
I love that picture of you and Ellie! What a hot momma!
super cute!! i am LOL at jocelyn's comment. I can totally picture you with Noah on your shoulders and pushing the other two. good thing your kids are so cute cause three kids is nuts! I see jason in Ellie but I also see so much of you and even more so as she gets older so we know she's gonna be a hottie =)
Ellie is soooooo precious and sooooo beautiful. And you look amazing too! Can I be you and can I please have your hair? I get jealous every time I see it. Long, thick hair + gorgeous body = JEALOUSY!
I just read your email. I'll call you tomorrow!
How funny, The Joovy Caboose was the one I was leaning toward too...and yes, I saw it was in orange - love it. I was at the mall last week and I saw someone with it and asked her all about it (hers was orange and VERY cute) she didn't have the shade thingy on it, which I actually liked b/c it seemed really small and compact. I haven't made a final decision yet though...let me know what you do!
Sorry I didn't call you. I will tomorrow I promise! Yes, that is what I have - the Joovy Caboose. It's been the greatest thing! When Landon & Maili were so small and only 1 year apart the Peg was fine. But now this is perfect. It's light, easy to maneuver, easy to pack up and fairly inexpensive. Plus, who goes to the mall with 3 kids. Not me! So it works good for when I only have two of them. Although we have taken the stroller for a walk around the block and pushed all three. Maili sits and Landon stands. Try pushing 75 lbs of kid and 10 lbs of stroller up my stinkin' hill!
P.S. I don't have the shady thing on either. It does make it look alot leaner without.
One more comment from me and then I'll shut up over here. Stupid lady at Babies R us telling you the Joovy wasn't practical. She probably was some college-age gal with no kids. What does she know! And I keep forgetting, what dates were you thinking next spring? I'll be in Hawaii in June.
Wow...you are a popular blogger...will you get to read my comment as well at the end of this long list?? Hopefully so!!
Loved the blog, love the fat rolls on Ellie and love how cute you look next to her!
I definitely would recommend the Sit'n Stand stroller for your toddler Noah and Ellie...there is a place for the pumpkin car seat, and yet you can still strap in your toddler. If you are really motivated, Jackson can stand, Noah can sit by him in the chair and Ellie is in her seat too...very conveniant i might say.
I made Austin cry it out exactly at 4 months. I had to leave my house for a week during the night so I couldn't hear him cry it out. It worked though and have never looked back. Jared slept through it all, so there was no worry. Is that an option for you as well?
I am in UT for my HS reunion. I called up the Brimley's and McMullin's to track down my friends...no luck yet...
I love how chubby she is! What a girl! no tips on double strollers from me. Still working on just the one!
Ellie is a cutie pie! She is growing up so fast!
That is a dang cute baby. You look amazing - skinny mini. What a mess feeding a baby is...I'm not sure I can ever do that. Good luck with the stroller search
